About the Event

At the Crossroads

On January 14th, 2022, Sparks & Wiry Cries is sharing four world premieres that focus on stories advancing the critical human dialogue around the issues of our time. At this live event at the Blue Building, audiences will have the opportunity to hear performances of our stunning 2021 commissions, Ciudad perdida by Reinaldo Moya and Ramadan 20 vs COVID 19 by Andrew Staniland. These works will be presented alongside the world premieres of After Him by John Glover and From the Woolworth Tower by 2021 songSLAM Commission Prize winner Rachel DeVore Fogarty. These newest world premieres will be simultaneously released on our website as two new music videos.

Performers on this exciting night of new music include Maria Brea, Martha Guth, Myra Huang, Michael Kelly, LaToya Lain, jessica Care moore, Erika Switzer, and Howard Watkins.
